Inspired by Dean Monroe and "The Humboldt State Old Boys," and featuring the HSU cross country team and the incredible environment in which it trains, this film was produced by the HSU Athletic Department and created by the HSU Film Department. It was filmed entirely on location in and around the Humboldt State University campus, Arcata, California.

2011 Running Camp
Coach Hunt sings "Happy Birthday" to a camper. With the HSU track under construction, the daily skill work goes indoors, using the Lumberjack field house. The annual steeplechase race is salvaged with creative use of a baby pool. Kevin Searls is unimpressed with the height of the giant redwood at the end of the Tall Trees trail.
